Is It the Battery or Something Else?
Sometimes a "dead battery" isn't really the battery. Common look-alikes:
- Bad alternator: The battery isn't being charged while you drive. New battery will work for a day or two and then die again.
- Parasitic draw: Something is pulling power when the car is off — usually a stuck relay, glove box light, or aftermarket accessory.
- Corroded terminals: Bad connection mimics a dead battery. Often a clean & tighten fixes it.
- Starter motor: If the battery is good but the engine just clicks, it's often the starter.
Our techs check all of these before recommending a replacement. We're not interested in selling you a battery you don't need.
